The World Karting Championships got under way properly today at Zuera in Spain. This is the first time the championships have been for KF2 and the CIK-FIA have been rewarded with an entry of 125.

Classification after the heats update. De Brabander and D'Agosto are the first not to qualify, very unlucky! The Brits who got through are Chamberlain, King, Lock, Grice, Varley, Hanley and Snell

Q4 Varley on pole overall with 1.16.461 Ghiotto 2nd in group, Van Der Raad 3rd

Hamppi fastest in Q3 with 1.17.037 then Butcher and King. Faster but still a long way off Q1

Q2 Pagani fastest on 1.17.215 then De Ridder and Reguillon. Chamberlain 7th.

Lennox-Lamb fastest in Q1 with 1.16.599, Lock 2nd, Bailly 3rd. Raining!

123 entered, 118 are racing. Ollie Rowland is one of the dropouts, he's helping Alex Walker this weekend instead.
